Mississippi State University’s T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability will hold its 14th annual Trick or Trot Fun Run on the university’s campus in Starkville on Halloween, Oct. 31, according to the university’s announcement.
The center said on-site registration and activities begin at 9 a.m., with the run starting at 10 a.m. Participants can run, walk or stroll a one-mile campus loop beginning at the center, and are encouraged to wear child-friendly costumes, the announcement said. Cheer stations will be set up along the route, where volunteers can encourage participants and hand out candy and other small items, according to the university.
The announcement lists entry fees of $15 for individuals and $30 for families of up to five immediate family members. Registration for the run and cheer stations is available online, and in-person registration for the run begins at 9 a.m. on event day, the center said. Cheer station registration is free, though donations are welcome; groups must have at least five members to organize a station, according to the announcement.
The university said proceeds support the T.K. Martin Center School, a special-needs preschool and elementary/middle school program. Sponsorship packages range from $100 to $5,000, the announcement said. For sponsorship information, contact McKenzie Foster at mchaney@tkmartin.msstate.edu, according to the center.
